In Summer
The lake offers a wide range of angling to suit everyone, from the experienced angler who can set their sights on one of the carp to 20lb, to beginners who have just started fishing. The lake has lots of reeds, rushes, and lily pads for carp to hide-amongst. So why not go in Search of Gold for the Crucian Carp, use a 0.09 mainline with a .3g fine bristle pole float and a size 18 barbless wide gape hook, use a small bait sweetcorn/chopped worm/ pellet/ or maggot fished just touching bottom or 1/2 inch over depth changing the depth can make all the differance get your presentation right good luck.

In Winter
After dawn and before Dusk try for the Perch with it's colours and markings it can easily camouflages itself into it's surroundings, weed beds, sunken branches and tree roots. These colours and markings are less distinguishable in older specimens who tend to favour deep water and solitude.
There are various ways of catching Perch.A well place float fished or legered lob worm or maggot will always tempt the fish especially if fished close to an obstacle or an overhanging tree,Allow a long tail between the weight and the hook too, as the slightest hint of drag will have it ejected very smartly a big lob worm will often tempt the older and bigger Perch.

Tells Report.
As a pleasure angler I have been enjoying some great fishing at Paradise Lake with a cracking two new pb's, 2lbs 9oz crucian carp and a 2lbs 2oz roach I also caught some nice tench to 3lb and some good Rudd and skimmers.45 fish in all in 4 hours.
To catch the finicky feeders like crucians and tench I used light tackle on the pole, catching on 4mm pellet, feeding with soaked 2mm pellets, I did get broken up a couple of times by big carp but that’s to be expected when fishing with light tackle.
